General Information

Part 1

Defined as ‘the exhibition of skill’, ICYMI (Part One) is the recordings artist’s projection of a determined and undeterred MC.  Driven in the direction of delivering alternative Hip Hop, he combines the sounds of synthesizers with raw boom bap drums chopped to execute his signature style of stomping kicks and snapping snares.

Bringing along guest collaborations from Ruff MP on Put the pressure up and Cecil Foster on Love you no more, he explores other genres like Dancehall to symbolise his love for reggae and dancehall culture by creating two records purposely as a tribute.   ‘Moving on me’ and ‘Back it on me’ brings out his youthful experiences of being around Jamaican and Caribbean sounds that was played constantly in his household by both his parents.

With raw beats & an unapologetic flow, the project solidifies his introduction by going full throttle over 15 self-composed recordings created at GR8-1 Music Lab, Birmingham.

Part 2

Defined as ‘the exhibition of concept’, ICYMI (Part Two) is the recordings artist’s perception of the human side of his character.  Putting aside his competitive and defensive ego, the artist wanted to deliver a variety of topics that included self-progression, music admiration and the old time favourite subject of love over 17 self-produced tracks.

Not ever wanting to be a one-dimensional MC, he wanted to deliver a range of ideas without under selling any of those creative ideas to become a versatile artist.  Unlike Part One, he continues to explore others sounds including Latin Music; Afrobeats; Classical and Electronica with a single guest collaboration from Mr FX on two recordings.

Remaining vigilant in execution, this part of the collection is a reminder than Madman the Greatest is a conceptual, natural writer with a determination for high quality deliverance.
